About the HARMONICA study
This study will evaluate the performance of a newly developed eye drop (SHP640), which is currently tested for the treatment of infectious conjunctivitis (adenoviral and bacterial).
If eligible, you would be asked to attend a total of 5 visits over approximately 13 days.
The visits will include standard procedures that you might encounter when you attend an eye exam. You will be provided with the study eye drops and will be asked to insert one drop in each eye 4 times a day for 7 days. You will also be asked to rate symptoms related to your pink eye at all visits.
What are the requirements?
In addition to having been diagnosed with conjunctivitis you must meet certain health requirements (e.g. you cannot be pregnant), which will be reviewed with the study investigator during your first visit.
You will be asked to attend the following visit schedule:
Visit 1 – Screening visit to determine eligibility – 2.5 hours
You will return to the study site for 4 follow-up visits:
Visit 2 (Day 3), Visit 3 (Day 6), Visit 4 (Day 8) and Visit 5 (Day 12)
– each visit takes approximately 2 hours
