New contact lens study (Study ID: PUG)

What are we trying to learn?

There is evidence that contact lens wearers experience higher prevalence of symptoms of eye strain, eye fatigue or blurred vision compared to non-lens wearers when using digital devices. The purpose of this study is evaluate the performance of a new daily disposable contact lens in individuals who use digital devices for at least 6 hours per day.

About the study

If eligible, you will be asked to follow the study instructions and attend the following visits.

  • Visit 1 – Screening to determine eligibility– 1 hour
  • Visit 2 – Baseline measurement & product dispense – 0.5 hours
    *Visit 1 & 2 are completed on the same day, back-to-back.
  • Visit 3  – 2-week-follow-up visit & study exit – 1 hour

You will also be asked to complete at-home questionnaires between visits – 0.5 hours

Total time commitment3 hours

The visits will include standard clinical procedures that you might encounter when you attend an eye exam.

What are the requirements?

  • You are between 18 and 40 years of age
  • You currently wear contact lenses at least 5 days/week, 10hrs/day
  • You use digital devices at least 6 hours/day

Reimbursement

In appreciation of your time you will receive up to $60. Parking passes will be provided as required.
