CORE specialises in eye research and education. Established in 1988 at the University of Waterloo’s School of Optometry and Vision Science, it was initially called the Centre for Contact Lens Research, CCLR.
With over 30 years of experience, CORE’s mission is to improve global eye health and vision through advanced bioscience, clinical research and education. CORE is globally recognized as a leading independent research organization. Our research and evidence-based conclusions are shared worldwide through conferences, publications, and continuing education for eye care professionals. We rely on volunteers to participate in our research, providing us with feedback and testing the products or equipment. Our research has helped develop many contact lenses, dry eye therapies, and related products, which are relied on by consumers worldwide. Want to know more? Check out our main website.
